In rare cases, you might need to cancel or reschedule your GRE test. It is not recommended that you change your registration or cancel the test because you think that you must study more. However, there are often medical, family, work, etc. conditions that facilitate you needing to reschedule or cancel your GRE exam.
To reschedule or Cancel Your GRE Test Appointment
You must reschedule or cancel your test at least 10 days before your appointment. Otherwise, your test fee will not be refunded. If you cancel your test at least 10 days prior to your test appointment, you will be refunded one-half of the original test fee. If you are scheduled to take the computer-based GRE test, you can cancel using the Cancel Online option, call 1-443-751-4820, 1-800-GRE-CALL, or contact your regional registration center where you are scheduled to take the test. The cost to reschedule the test is $50.
To change your GRE test center
If you want to change the location where you take your test, Contact ETS. The fee to change your test center is $50. If you are taking the paper based test only, you can go to your preferred test center on the day of the test with your original admission ticket, and if there is room for you in the test center, you can take the paper test there at no additional charge. However, there is no guarantee that there will be available room at your new preferred test center.
